The Nexus Magic International Weather Page

This page provides a 4-day weather forecast (including current conditions) with temperatures displayed in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.

I created this page as a convenient way to compare weather in different parts of the world e.g. for when I talk on the phone to my mum in England (where the Celsius temperature scale is used) and I am in the USA (where Fahrenheit is used):

The temperature conversions, °F = °C x 9/5 + 32 and °C = (°F - 32) x 5/9, are not always quick & easy calculations to do accurately in your head.

Most weather APIs are somewhat difficult to use but my searching led me to an article about Google's undocumented weather API which, apart from being very easy to use, benefits from Google's intelligent search algorithms.

Each time you load this page it uses HostIP to try to guess your location from your device's IP address unless you've set a "Primary" location. Note that a primary location is set by the query string in the URL so you can easily create bookmarks for different locations. Note also that, although you can remove it from the display, a primary location will always reappear when you reload the page.

Additionally, if you have JavaScript enabled, this site will attempt to use a cookie to remember your "Additional" locations. This cookie lasts only 30 days but if you want to delete it manually right now, you can use this link: DieCookieDie
